Phil started his
musical career at age 11, trying to get Free's "All Right Now"
out of an autoharp electronically enhanced with a microphone element and
wood putty. He logged thousands of hours on the old half upright at the
Queen Anne Rec Center teaching himself to play the piano and write songs.
In the mid-seventies he and some junior high school friends formed a hard
rock band. They played the NW club circuit for ten years as Open Fire and
then as Phoenixx performing covers and original material. After Phoenixx
disbanded, Phil joined the corporate world, but quit twelve years later to
again focus on music. "Harmonic Tremors is his unique five-song
tribute to the emotion, attitude and energy of rock.
